BUSY! BUSY! BUSY!
So, what has Paula Dixon Design been up to for the last several months? Keep reading below to see a little tidbit of what is to come.
The above inspiration and elevation of a current project we have been working on since the spring. What's an elevation?! So glad you asked! It is a similar to a floor plan where we draw the wall from the floor to the ceiling, so the contractors know how to build something. In the one above we are redoing our client's living room and wanted to give the fireplace wall a nice focal point. See below for the progress.
D E M O !
We removed the old mantal. See below the stone fabrication.
This is how the company built the surround based off our drawings. BEAUTIFUL!
Our firm sourced the stone, communicated with the fabricator and went on install day to confirm our specifications. This is what we do!
Install progress shot. Measure twice, cut once!
Project two
This is the elevation for another one of our projects. These elevations help contractors give our clients more precision bids and help to communicate our design intent. This is an important step in the process as this helps our clients see what their space will look like before it is built and make any changes. This helps to prevent change orders, which helps stay on budget.
In field collaboration is another step our firm takes to ensure your space is designed to the best of our ability. We love improving homes where families can enjoy them for years to come. In this image we are working with the contractor and carpenter to verify what we drew in the elevations is what the entire team thinks is the best choice.
And our furry friend approves!!
